Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. She was best known as Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and won Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio and she continued her love of performing on stage. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in Chicago's theatre for several years, before trying out for film and TV parts. In 1992 Anna landed her first big part as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. As a guest-star, Anna was on Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. Then it was only in the latter part of 1990 when she was cast in the role of The Practice. In 2000, she was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler appeared on screen in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully as well as Deadwood were also part of her work. Gunn has also appeared on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in Numbered Day, a podcast consisting of four audio dramas. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on the relationship he has with Skyler are mirrored in the television show.
