Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, often called Ashanti was born on 13 October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer-songwriter and actor. Ashanti started her career when she was a teenager then was eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. Ashanti was featured in the Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that same year.
